This year, the Euro/Italo disco classic "Slice Me Nice" celebrates its incredible 40th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a strictly limited edition of 1000 copies of the hit will be released on September 6th, 2024, on a high-quality 10'' blue-transparent vinyl.

Fancy was ahead of his time and a pioneer in many respects. At a time when being different was far more polarizing than it is today, he made it onto the world's most diverse stages with determination and purpose. 

As a producer (of the legendary Siegfried & Roy, among others), arranger, composer, parodist, magician and author, he worked with the biggest names in the pop world, such as Michael Jackson and the Pet Shop Boys, and continues to have a lasting impact on a wide variety of scenes and subcultures with his pioneering work. 

"Slice Me Nice" led to the Munich-born singer's commercial breakthrough, with which he only narrowly missed the German Single Top 10. Fancy achieved his greatest international successes with evergreens and classics such as "Flames Of Love" and "Lady of Ice". These top hits, which were streamed millions of times, perfectly demonstrate the light-heartedness of his songs with the unmistakable machine disco beat, Fancy's trademark.

In 1985, Fancy was the only German pop artist and producer with "Chinese Eyes" and "Come Inside" in the annual top 10 of the "US Billboard Dance Charts: Top Ten Of The Year 1985".

Fancy took part in the ESC preliminary round again in 2000, still regularly releases new songs and, at the age of 78, continues to play tireless shows around the globe – from the USA and South America to the whole of Europe.

The re-edition of the Italo dance hit inspired by Divine's "Shoot Your Shot" includes the original 7'' version and the party-tested extended mix as well as two brand new, previously unreleased remixes:

Scandinavian performance artist and electronic producer Tobias Bernstrup, who himself was heavily influenced by Fancy, transforms "Slice Me Nice" into a contemporary HiNRG dancefloor grenade with his remix, whereas the internationally renowned DJ and producer Ancient Methods, who has already made successful remixes for Yello, Wolfsheim and many more, has completely deconstructed the original and re-puzzled it together inspired by the Belgian New Beat of the late 80s.
